Bleeding disorders affect 1 in 5,000 people. Many of you know that both of our sons live with one: Severe Hemophilia A. There are about 20,000 people with Hemophilia in the U.S. I am a carrier of the gene. On August 26th we are participating in a walk to support our boys as well as the many others who are affected by bleeding disorders. The Bleeding disorders community means a lot to us and without them and the progress in research and treatment that has been made our boys wouldn't be in the place that they are in now. However, people with bleeding disorders and their families are still met with daily and lifelong challenges, and there is still a need for more research and better treatment/a cure. If you feel compelled, the bleeding disorders community would appreciate any donation to help further their cause to improve the lives of those with bleeding disorders. Funds go to local programs such as camps for the bleeders, local services, and to research. You can support the community by joining our team and donating to our page (The Bruised Reeds), and/or you can also show your support by walking with us on August 26th. Many of you have supported us already through prayer, providing meals in emergencies, and simply by being a listening ear and presence. This alone is enough and we love you all for it.
The Walk is taking place on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 at Sloan’s Lake Park (1700 N. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80212)
8:00am Registration, 9:00am Walk Start.
