Dear Friends and Family,
In April we found out that our son Clark was born with severe hemophilia B. This came as a surprise since this inherited bleeding disorder is not found our family history. We are participating in the Hemophilia Walk on June 17th at Lewis & Clark college- a fundraising event to support the Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon and the National Hemophilia Foundation. Inherited bleeding disorders are a life-long condition. Currently there is no cure, but scientists are actively engaged in finding cures and improving treatments.
That’s why we are raising money and we hope that we can count on your support of this exciting event! Thousands of families in our community, and across the country will benefit from your support and the success of the Walk.
Our personal goal is to raise $800 for this worthy cause. We are asking for your help to reach our goal. Will you make a tax-deductible contribution by donating what you can? It’s fast and easy to make a donation on my online personal fundraising page.
You can also support my fundraising efforts by forwarding this email to as many people as you can, or posting a link on your facebook page to inspire others to donate as well! Every step does make a difference in the lives of people affected by bleeding disorders.
We also welcome any who want to walk with us on Saturday June 17th. The walk is located at Lewis and Clark college at 10am (check in begins at 9am). *If you choose to walk then click the link to join the team. It will ask for a fundraising goal, but don't feel pressure to meet that goal- we're happy to have you support us in walking too.
Thank you in advance for your support and together, we will make a difference.
