I'm participating in the Hemophilia Walk - a fundraising event to support the Portland Hemophilia Chapter the National Hemophilia Foundation. Inherited bleeding disorders are a life-long condition. Currently there is no cure, but scientists are actively engaged in finding cures and improving treatments.
A good friend of Logan's from preschool is struggling with Hemophilia. I've personally seen his struggle as he gets infusions on a weekly basis to help manage condition. I have observed something as common as a bloody nose turn into a worrisome situation where his parents potentially have to place a 911 call. Thousands of families in our community, and across the country will benefit from your support and the success of the Walk.
My personal goal is to raise $400 for this worthy cause. I’m asking for your help to reach my goal. Will you make a tax-deductible contribution by donating?
The National Hemophilia Foundation is dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders and to preventing the complications of these disorders through education, advocacy and research. "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success."
